Measuring 30" tall, this safety gate conveniently helps contain children and pets while complementing your home décor with an extra-wide honey oak-stained wood door and sleek metal frame. A variety of included extensions help you configure the ideal setup for spaces from 36-60 inches wide. Install it in doorways or hallways quickly & easily using the included no-drill pressure mount system with adhesive wall cups that help protect your walls from damage. Or, use it at the top or bottom of stairs with included hardware (required for safe stairway installation). Recommended tools for hardware installation (not included): drill, Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, measuring tape. NOTE: Gate will appear bent at first, rest assured that this is not a defect and will be corrected upon proper installation.
  • The Summer by Ingenuity West End Safety Dog and Baby Gate fits openings 36-60" and is 30" tall; please measure opening prior to purchase to ensure proper fit
  • Fits in doorways or hallways with easy no-drill pressure mount system to help prevent damage; also fits at top or bottom of stairs, on walls or flat banisters, with included hardware kit
  • 27" extra-wide door can swing both ways; gate door stays open when engaged greater than 90 degrees; door opened less than 90 degrees auto-closes; stopper prevents door from swinging over stairs when installed at top of stairs
  • Door locks securely to keep babies, toddlers, and pets contained with narrowly spaced bars that prevent them from squeezing through; adults can open door with one hand by engaging the latch and pulling up on the door

    Returns Processing

    We will happily refund the original purchase price for any new, non-used item returned with an original sales receipt or packing slip, returned within 15 days of purchase. We accept returns up to 15 days after delivery. 

    If the item is unused and in its original condition, we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return.  To process a return, you must contact our Customer Service desk prior to sending your order back to get a Return Authorization.  Kids2Shop does not pay the shipping for items that are being returned.

I found that one needed to be careful that fieverything was perpendicular. It is a beautifully made product that once adjusted has taken no further fiddling. One note of caution: You may trip on the bottom brace if you do not have some way to remind yourself it is there. I used a night light to remind me. After a week or so I subconsciously knew it was there and automatically step over it now."

    Not quite. . . . .

    "We had a lot of trouble assembling this gate. The wooden gate does not fit in its frame. It looks crooked the top does not latch (doesn’t even get close to where it latches) and the metal frame is wider than the gate. I’m attaching photos so you can see. I know the gate is upside down in the photo. It is leaning against a table while we were trying to figure out the problem."

    Great style and design!

    "We installed this gate at the top of our stairs and love the look and functionality. It was easy to install (for my husband) and the opening mechanisms are simple enough for our 4 year old to go as she pleases but keeps our 1 1/2 year old safe upstairs! I only wish that they had additional extensions to purchase so we could use the same one to separate our family room from the dining area!"

    Aesthetically Appealing

    "The gate itself is beautiful. The stay-open feature was also something I liked. The door was easy to open after a few tries (it just needed some breaking in I think). It came with hardware instructions and the gate was in 2 pieces (the gate plus the extension piece). The gate was made out of metal so it was fairly heavy. I installed the gate in 2 areas (one just the gate and one with the extension). The instructions were a bit wonky to follow so I had my husband jump in and help (but full disclosure I’m not a handy person to begin with). I asked him his thoughts on installation and the gate itself: he said it’s average and similar to other gates but he did feel it put too much pressure on the door frame. I have 2 boys 4 and almost 1. Both really liked the gate. The 4 year old could open it and my 1 year old enjoyed crawling in and out of it. The 1 year old obviously could not open it but one time the self closing feature didn’t fully close the door and he was able to push it open so double check that always. We needed a gate for the bottom of our stairs (which needs the extension) because our 1 year old recently started crawling up them partially so this gate will work nicely there!"

    Handsome sturdy gate

    "We purchased this for a wide opening at the top of a landing. I was thrilled to have just caught the product as it entered the very small market of extra-wide gates. It was a breeze to install and so far is proving solid as a tension gate — with extra wall cups with rubberized backing (easy to find on Amazon). Should we find it wobbly against the strength of our growing 13-month-old we’ll appreciate the hardware option."

    Beautiful gate

    "The gate itself is beautiful heavy and seems well built and is easy to install. The self close feature is nice but doesn't work all that well. The gate doesn't actually latch a lot of the time. Adjusting the gate tighter leads to the door not opening. I would still purchase the gate again as the locking mechanism is easy to use you just have to be sure its latched depending on how you're using it. Also a great price esp considering its size."

    Safety Gate

    "The look of this gate is one of the best I’ve seen. Most are white plastic or metal but this is wood and gray and blends in nicely. I like that it can expand to different sizes to fit your needs. It was fairly easy to install similar to others I have used. The latch is a little difficult but it is self closing which is nice. It can also be set to stay open fully. The door stoppers are also a great feature when it is used for a stair case opening. They make it so that the gate can only open in one direction. I would definitely recommend this product."
